“Without music, life would be a mistake.”

Friedrich Nietzsche

"Singing with Doug in his spirited, 'perfection free zone' is an epiphany of the heart and soul. Through his guidance, I feel free to sing out loud with my true voice, joined with others in a joyous celebration of life. A group of strangers come together, and in minutes are touching the miraculous."

Alan Cohn, Physician

I’ll join in with great teachers like Francis Weller,  Miguel Rivera,  Tom Gambell, Thomas R. Our sixth annual… SINGING THROUGH THE HEART OF WINTER A weekend for men and women led by myself and Richard Naegle.  Full of singing, poetry, mythology, ritual, community and love, this weekend is a preparation time for the Solstice season in the quiet and beauty of the redwoods.

As the culture speeds up we will hold with the heartbeat of nature –the rhythm of stillness, darkness, waiting, letting go, anticipation.  Together we help sing the world once again into being.  Come join with kindred spirits as we share good food and company, sing universal chants and songs in magnificent harmony, celebrate tears and laughter, and explore Soul’s longing in the dark of winter.
